What Is Dynamic Pricing?

Dynamic pricing lets you automatically adjust your trip prices based on rules you define. Charge more during peak times when demand is high and offer discounts during slower periods to fill your calendar.

Plan Requirement

Dynamic pricing is available on the Professional plan and above.

Setting Up Pricing Rules

  1. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Pricing
  2. Click "Add Pricing Rule"
  3. Choose the rule type (day of week, date range, or time of day)
  4. Set the price adjustment (percentage increase or decrease)
  5. Save the rule

Rule Types

  • Day of Week: Charge more on weekends and holidays (e.g., +25% on Saturdays)
  • Date Range: Set seasonal pricing for specific periods (e.g., +30% during June–August)
  • Time of Day: Premium for popular start times (e.g., +15% for sunrise departures)

Pro Tip

Start with one or two rules and monitor the impact. You can always add more rules as you learn what works for your business.

Peak vs. Off-Peak Pricing

Peak Pricing (Price Increases)

Raise prices when demand is high:

  • Weekends and holidays
  • Summer season or tourist season
  • Popular time slots
  • Special events in your area

Off-Peak Pricing (Discounts)

Lower prices to fill slow periods:

  • Weekdays
  • Off-season months
  • Less popular time slots
  • Last-minute openings

Transparent Pricing

Anglers see the final price on your booking page — no surprises at checkout. If a pricing rule applies, the adjusted price is shown upfront.

Rule Priority

When multiple rules apply to the same time slot, they stack. For example, a Saturday in July might have both a weekend surcharge (+20%) and a summer surcharge (+15%).

Stacking Rules

Be careful with stacking — multiple surcharges can make prices unexpectedly high. Review your pricing page regularly to make sureanglers see fair prices.

Monitoring Impact

Track how pricing rules affect your business from Dashboard → Analytics:

  • Revenue per trip over time
  • Booking volume changes after rule changes
  • Average booking value trends
