Why Aggregate Reviews?
Your anglers leave reviews across multiple platforms. Some review you on Google, others on TripAdvisor, and others through Guidewinds directly. Review aggregation pulls them all together so visitors to your profile see your total reputation — not just reviews from one source.
A higher total review count builds trust faster. Seeing "4.8 stars across 200+ reviews" is more compelling than "4.8 stars from 15 reviews."

Supported Platforms
Guidewinds can import reviews from these platforms:
- Google Business Profile: Your Google Maps reviews
- Yelp: Business page reviews
- TripAdvisor: Attraction or experience reviews
Reviews from each platform are clearly labeled with their source, so anglers know where each review came from.
Setting Up Review Import
- Go to
Dashboard → Reviews → External Reviews - Click "Connect Platform"
- Select the platform (Google, Yelp, or TripAdvisor)
- Enter your business listing URL for that platform
- Guidewinds imports your existing reviews and begins syncing periodically
Pro Tip
How Reviews Display on Your Profile
Once connected, your public profile page shows:

Managing External Reviews
Sync Frequency
External reviews sync automatically every 24 hours. You can also trigger a manual sync from Dashboard → Reviews → External Reviews by clicking "Sync Now."
Responding to Reviews
You can't respond to external reviews through Guidewinds — responses need to happen on the original platform. However, seeing all reviews in one dashboard makes it easy to spot ones that need a response.
Review Accuracy
Best Practices
Encourage Reviews on Multiple Platforms
After a great booking, suggest where anglers can leave a review. Some prefer Google, others TripAdvisor. The more platforms you're on, the stronger your aggregated reputation.
Monitor Regularly
Check your reviews dashboard weekly. Respond promptly to negative reviews on the original platform — a thoughtful response often matters more than the review itself.
Use Reviews in Marketing
Your aggregate rating appears on your public profile, booking page, and marketplace listing. A strong rating with high volume is your best marketing tool.
